Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a national of a developing country other than India
- Be 35 years old or younger on 31 December of the application year
- Hold a Masters degree in science or technology
- Be currently employed in your home country with a research assignment
- Not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in India or any developed country
- Secure an official acceptance letter from a CSIR laboratory or institute
- Show proof of English proficiency if your previous education was not in English
- Agree to return to your home country after completing the fellowship
- Be ready to register for a PhD in India (for full-time) or already registered in your home country (for sandwich)

How to Apply:
- Contact your preferred CSIR laboratory or institute as soon as possible and request an official acceptance letter.
- Prepare all supporting documents including your Masters degree certificate and proof of employment.
- For sandwich applicants, obtain the Registration and No Objection Certificate from your home university.
- Submit your complete application online through the official TWAS portal before 03 June 2026.
Important Note: Applications without a preliminary acceptance letter from a CSIR institute will not be considered.
