Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualifications

You are eligible if you have:

Option 1: Master’s Degree (Preferred)

  • Master of Science (MSc) degree or equivalent, OR
  • Combination of Bachelor’s (BSc) and Master’s degree with a total of approximately 300 ECTS credits, OR
  • 5-year integrated Master’s program

Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree with First-Class Honors

Eligible if you hold a 4-year first-class Bachelor’s Hons degree (equivalent to 240 ECTS) from:

  • European universities within the Bologna System, OR
  • Universities in the UK, Australia, or Canada

Note: If accepted with only a Bachelor’s degree, you may be required to complete an additional 15–60 ECTS of coursework and may need to pass a qualifier examination in your first year.

Grade Requirements

  • Minimum grade: 1–2.5 on the German grading scale (1 = highest, 5 = lowest)
  • Grade conversion: If your degree is from outside Germany, use the Grade Conversion Tool based on the Bavarian Formula to convert your grades

English Language Proficiency

You must demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English through one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT: Overall 80+ (minimum 20 in each section: Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing)
  • IELTS: Overall band 6.5+ (minimum 6.5 in each section)
  • Cambridge ESOL: Upper B2 level (175–179 points) or C1/C2
