Digital Humanism Fellowship 2026–2027, Austria

Call for Applications for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

This fellowship is part of the Digital Humanism Program and welcomes applicants from all academic disciplines. Digital Humanism focuses on describing, analyzing, and most importantly influencing the complex relationship between technology and humanity. The goal is to build a better society while fully respecting universal human rights.

Unlike Digital Humanities, this program does not simply apply new digital tools or technologies to humanities research. Instead, it examines the digital age’s effects on society, the economy, and geopolitics, drawing on insights from computer science, the humanities, and social sciences.
