AKS Graduate Fellowship 2026 in South Korea (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the AKS Graduate Fellowship 2026 at the Academy of Korean Studies in South Korea. This is a fully funded 6-month research support program for international and overseas Korean master’s and doctoral students who want to conduct research in Korean Studies. The program provides a monthly research grant, round-trip airfare, and free accommodation. It runs from 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027. There is no application fee. Eligibility Criteria:

Be a foreign national or overseas Korean (who completed all education abroad)
Be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a master’s or doctoral program at an overseas university
Your research topic must be clearly related to Korean Studies
Excellent Korean language skills are preferred (but not mandatory)
Past recipients of this fellowship are not eligible to apply again
