The fellowship offers financial support through a monthly stipend. It helps participants produce high-quality research and writing with policy relevance. Eligibility Criteria

  • Several years of experience working on, studying, or examining Russia and/or broader Eurasia
  • Good working knowledge of English (all fellowship activities are conducted in English)
  • Strong interest in producing original scholarship or non-fiction writing with policy relevance
  • Open to individuals from academia, journalism, and the expert community
  • Researchers in natural sciences, medicine, technology, and related fields are especially encouraged to apply (at least 4 positions reserved for these areas)

Target Participants and Qualifications:

This fellowship targets individuals engaged in the study of Russia and/or broader Eurasia who want to strengthen their skills, professional network, and research output.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of English (the entire fellowship is conducted in English only).
  • Publications produced during the fellowship will first appear in English, with possible later translation into regional languages.
