Applications are now open for the CeMM PhD Program in Molecular Technologies and Systems Medicine, one of Europe’s most prestigious doctoral programs in biomedical research. This fully funded PhD opportunity is open to talented researchers from all nationalities and diverse scientific backgrounds. Candidates can expect a comprehensive 4-year program combining cutting-edge research with structured training, conducted in partnership with the Medical University of Vienna.

There is no application fee. The program welcomes life scientists, computational scientists, physicists, mathematicians, engineers, clinicians, and data scientists who are passionate about bridging fundamental discovery with medical translation. Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible to enrol in the PhD program at CeMM, candidates must have:

• A Master’s degree in medicine, biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science or a related scientific or technical field (such as engineering, physics, statistics, or mathematics), OR
• A 4-year Bachelor’s degree with excellent grades (first-class honours or upper second-class, 2.1) and a significant amount of research experience

Additional Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (the working language at CeMM)
• Must obtain your final degree certificate by September 2027 (you do not need to have completed your degree at the time of application)
