The ICYF International Media Training Camp is an exciting initiative organized by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, TRT Journalism for Juniors (J4J), and FOKUS PLUS.
This intensive camp brings together young media participants from OIC Member States and Muslim communities worldwide to enhance their skills in journalism, digital media, and storytelling. You’ll learn from experts about ethical media practices, addressing global issues, amplifying marginalized voices, and driving positive social change.

Two separate camps are organized:
- Young Men Camp: October 16–21, 2026
- Young Women Camp: October 28 – November 2, 2026

Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if you:
- Meet age requirement: Between 18 and 25 years old
- Hold citizenship of an OIC Member State OR are a member of a Muslim community in a non-OIC country
- Speak English proficiently
- Have a genuine interest in media, research, storytelling, or community engagement
- Have NOT participated in the ICYF media camp in the previous year

Application Deadline:
- August 30, 2026 at 23:59 GMT +3 (Istanbul Time)
- Total spots available: 200 participants (100 male and 100 female)
Selection Process:
The Selection Committee will evaluate applications based on:
- Your eligibility and submission completeness
- Your motivation and leadership potential
- Your creativity and commitment to social impact
- Balanced regional representation across participating countries
Candidates may be invited for an online interview as the final stage of selection. Selected participants will receive email confirmation with complete camp program details. An announcement will also be shared on the ICYF website and social media accounts.

What Are the Costs?
International Participants
- You cover your own international flight costs, but ICYF will reimburse up to $250 USD
Local Participants (Based in Türkiye)
- You cover your own domestic travel costs, but ICYF will reimburse up to 3,500 Turkish Lira (TL)
Airport & Station Transfers
- All local transfers to and from the airport or bus station are arranged and covered by the host organizer
Health Insurance
- Health insurance coverage is provided during the camp by the organizers.
- Any additional insurance (such as travel insurance) is your responsibility and expense.
Accommodation & Meals
The host organizers cover:
- Accommodation at the youth camp
- All meals during the program
- City tour and local hospitality costs
You have no additional costs for these services.
Visa Requirements
- Obtaining your visa (including all associated fees) is your responsibility
- However, ICYF can provide an invitation letter upon request to support your visa application
Certificate & Future Opportunities
- All participants who complete and fully attend the camp will receive a Certificate of Participation jointly issued by ICYF and program partners.
- Outstanding participants may be considered for future ICYF leadership and media initiatives.
