  • Modern condensed matter physics aims to control magnetism at the nanoscale
  • Semiconducting moiré materials (SMMs) are formed by twisted or lattice-mismatched monolayers of van der Waals crystals

  • When embedded in gated heterostructures, SMMs host collective spin phases
  • SMMs act as artificial quantum materials with direct optical access to spin physics
