Other Funding Options:

If you do not get the main scholarship, there are other ways to fund your studies.

PlantHealth Consortium Scholarships

Outstanding EU and non EU candidates may receive a fee waiver, depending on the quality of the application and available funds. To be considered, you must submit a complete application during the first call. These scholarships do not cover travel, accommodation or living costs, but they can be combined with other funding.

Special Needs Support

Financial help is available for essential costs such as personal aid, adaptations or transport for students with special needs. You must request this support and provide documents before the programme begins.

Erasmus+ Mobility Grant for Year 2

Self funded students of any nationality can apply for this grant in their second year. It is about €350 per month plus a travel grant of about €300, depending on the destination. It is extra support and is not enough to cover rent or food.

UNIPD Scholarship Schemes

  • Regional Scholarships (Veneto): Students who spend their second year at the University of Padua can apply. Benefits depend on family income and may include tuition exemptions, living allowances and cheaper accommodation or meals.
  • UNIPD Joint Programme Scholarships: Second year students can apply for funding for the fourth semester spent outside Italy. Availability depends on annual funding.

Paid Internships During the Master’s Thesis

Students who do their thesis in a company may receive a monthly stipend from the employer. This is common in countries such as France and Germany.

Erasmus+ Master Degree Loans

These are EU guaranteed loans with better interest rates than the market. No collateral is required from you or your parents, and you get up to two years after graduation before repayments begin.
