EIP Fellowship Programme 2027 for Master’s, PhD students & Senior professors

Applications are now open for the 2027 Fellowship Programme offered by the Electoral Integrity Project (EIP), a research opportunity for students, academics, and practitioners who want to work on electoral integrity. The programme welcomes applicants at every career stage, from Master’s and PhD students to senior professors and practitioners from government, civil society, and industry.

Types of Fellowships:

Junior Fellows

Academics at the level of Master’s or Doctoral student or candidate.

Fellows

Academics at the level of postdoctoral fellow, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, or the equivalent.

Senior Fellows

Academics at the level of Associate or Full Professor, Senior or Principal Lecturer, Reader, or the equivalent.

Practitioner Fellows

Practitioners in a field related to electoral integrity, at any stage of their career. This includes people from government, nongovernmental organizations, civil society, and industry.

Carter Center Democracy Fellowships

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a Master’s or PhD student, an academic at postdoctoral, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Associate Professor, Full Professor, Reader level, or equivalent, or a practitioner in a field related to electoral integrity.
  • You must propose a research project on a topic related to electoral integrity.
  • You must be ready to produce a working paper and present it at the annual workshop.
  • You must be able to take part in the monthly seminars.
  • For the Carter Center Democracy Fellowships, you must be a student or scholar. Any nationality can apply.
  • For the Electoral Management Resiliency Fellowships, you must be a junior scholar or a practitioner whose project relates to electoral management resiliency.
