Yale Peace Professional Fellowship in United States

Applications are now open for the Yale Peace Fellowship, a prestigious program for accomplished working professionals in peace and reconciliation. This selective fellowship brings together 16 rising leaders each year who are working on the frontlines of conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and post-conflict reconciliation. The program is designed for practitioners from diverse professional backgrounds including civil society, diplomacy, politics, religion, and social enterprise who demonstrate exceptional leadership and commitment to preventing violence and repairing divided communities. Who Should Apply:

Eligibility Requirements

• Working practitioners with accomplishments in the field of peace and reconciliation
• Track record of strong leadership and drive to grow professionally
• Demonstrated commitment to cross-cultural understanding
• Citizens of a country other than the United States (dual citizenship with the US is eligible, but strong preference given to candidates whose work is focused outside the US)
• Fluency in English (essential for full participation)

Availability Requirements

• Must be available to fully participate in all parts of the program
• In-person attendance required for two weeks:
  • Opening convening: Yale University campus in New Haven (April 12–16, 2027)
  • Closing convening: Rose Castle, UK (June 14–18, 2027)

Selection Process:

• Admission is highly competitive
• Each cohort is geographically balanced
• Represents a wide range of professions, talents, experience, cultures, people, and perspectives
