E-CoRe 13 Fully Funded PhD Positions Across Europe

Applications are now open for the E-CoRe (Energy-Efficient Computing via Reversibility) Doctoral Network under the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). This prestigious program offers 13 fully funded PhD positions in the exciting and emerging field of reversible computing. The project aims to develop new technologies that can dramatically reduce the energy consumption of computers, making digital technologies more sustainable for the future.

These positions are open to motivated international students with a strong background in computer science or related fields. There is no application fee.   • DC2: Concurrency and Distribution in Reversible Languages Supervisor: Ivan Lanese Host: University of Bologna, Italy Focus: Study extensions of reversible programming languages to support concurrency and distribution.
  • DC3: Formal Verification Techniques for Reversible Languages Supervisor: Cinzia Di Giusto Host: CNRS / Université Côte d’Azur, France Focus: Formal verification of reversible computations with non-observable actions.

  • DC13: Energy Efficiency in Machine Learning Supervisor: Irek Ulidowski Host: AGH University of Krakow, Poland Focus: Apply reversible computation techniques in machine learning (in collaboration with DC4 and DC6).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Not already hold a PhD degree
  • Meet the MSCA mobility rule: You must not have lived or worked in the host country for more than 12 months in the last 3 years before the starting date
  • Have good English language skills (both written and spoken)
  • Be eligible for admission to the PhD program at the chosen host university
