OIST Paid Internship Program in Japan 2026

Applications are now open for the OIST Research Internship Program in Japan. This is a fully funded paid internship opportunity for undergraduate and master’s students who want to gain real research experience in a world-class international research institute.

Eligibility Criteria:

You can apply if you:

• Are in the last two years of a Bachelor’s degree, or
• Are enrolled in any year of a Master’s degree, or
• Have already graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Have a strong academic background that matches your chosen research unit
• Are not a current or graduated PhD student

Note: Currently enrolled students need approval from their home university.
