Programme Overview

The Technical Studentship Programme is designed for students who need practical training as part of their undergraduate or master’s studies. Available Fields

CERN offers technical studentships in the following areas for the 2025-3 session:

1. General / Civil Engineering

  • Focus Areas: Industrial and tertiary building structures, design and drafting, underground structures, roads, drainage, geotechnical engineering, safety risk management, and more.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the CERN Technical Studentship Programme, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State (Check the list of eligible countries below).
  • Have completed at least 18 months or 3 semesters of your undergraduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s) studies by November 2025.
  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student during the internship.
  • Have a good knowledge of English or French.
