The WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) is a unique opportunity for early-career professionals passionate about Intellectual Property (IP), innovation, and sustainable development. This 2-year program, hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, offers hands-on experience in WIPO’s initiatives, equipping participants with skills to drive economic growth in their home countries. Note: This program is designed for professional growth, not as a pathway to WIPO employment. Participants cannot apply for WIPO jobs during the program or for two years after completion.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the WIPO Young Experts Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Maximum 35 years old at the time of application
- Availability: Available for the full 24-month program (2026–2027)
- Education: A first-level university degree
- Experience: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Knowledge: Familiarity with or experience in IP, innovation, or creativity

Benefits of the Program
Participants in the YEP receive the following benefits:
- Monthly Stipend: 5,000 Swiss Francs (CHF)
- Medical Insurance: 75% contribution toward medical insurance costs
- Accident Insurance: Provided by WIPO
- Travel Support: Contribution toward travel expenses
- Visa Assistance: Support for obtaining an entry visa to Switzerland
- Accommodation Guidance: Assistance from WIPO’s staff counselor for finding accommodation
