WINS International Postdoctoral Fellowship in Germany 2026

Applications are now open for the WINS International Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2026 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Germany. This 4-to-6-week fellowship is for excellent female postdoctoral researchers from abroad. It gives you the chance to visit Berlin, start a new research project or joint publication with a host lab, increase your visibility, and build your international network.

The fellowship is fully funded with a €3,000 lump-sum stipend that covers all your travel, accommodation, living expenses, and any conference fees. There is no application fee. Hosts (postdocs, group leaders, or professors) from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at HU Berlin submit the application on your behalf. Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a female postdoctoral researcher with a completed PhD.
  • You must be currently working at a university or research institute outside Germany.
  • A host (postdoc, group leader, or professor) from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at HU Berlin must invite you and submit the application.
  • The fellowship is open to any discipline within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at HU Berlin.

  • The completed PDF application form (filled out by the host)
  • Your full CV
  • A short motivation letter from you (maximum ½ page)
