These prestigious scholarships support talented international students pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s programs at one of Europe’s oldest and most respected universities (founded in 1477 and ranked among the global top 100).

Uppsala University offers three main scholarship programs (plus one targeted regional one), each designed for specific groups of fee-paying international students. They cover full or partial tuition fees (but do not cover living expenses). There is no separate application fee for the scholarships themselves — you only pay the standard University Admissions application fee if required for your program application.

1. Uppsala University Global Scholarship

For: Citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. Level: Master’s programs only. Coverage: Full tuition fee waiver. Focus: Supports academically talented students interested in Uppsala’s educational environment.

2. Anders Wall Scholarship

For: Citizens of any African country. Level: Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Coverage: Full tuition fee waiver. Focus: Funded by The Beijer Foundation; helps talented African students pursue studies in Sweden.

3. King Carl Gustaf Scholarship
