Eligibility Criteria:

  • Will complete a relevant Diploma or Master’s degree (or equivalent) by 30 June 2026 in a field related to one of the participating doctoral schools
  • Have a strong academic record and a clear, compelling doctoral research project idea
  • Can align your proposed project with the research focus of one of the doctoral schools
  • Are available to start employment between 1 July and 1 October 2026
  • Meet the University of Vienna’s general doctoral admission requirements by the start date (including language proficiency, typically C1 level in English or German depending on the program).
