SIIT University EFS Graduate Scholarship 2026 in Thailand

Applications are now open for the Graduate Scholarship Program for Excellent Foreign Students (EFS) Type B at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand. This fully funded scholarship supports outstanding international students pursuing Master’s (2 years) or Doctoral (3 years) degrees in fields such as Biochemical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and more. Open to non-Thai students with excellent academic records, the scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, travel, and insurance. Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship covers the following expenses:

  1. Full SIIT Tuition and Thesis Support:
    • Covers all SIIT tuition and educational support fees (excluding Thammasat University fees: 600 baht matriculation fee and 875 baht per semester for educational support and group insurance).
  2. Living Allowance:
    • 10,000 baht per month.
  3. Travel Expenses:
    • Round-trip economy airfare (most direct route) between Thailand and your home country (up to 20,000 baht per student).
  4. Miscellaneous Expenses:
    • Covers visa fees, English proficiency test for graduation, etc. (up to 10,000 baht per student).
  5. Health and Accident Insurance:
    • Provided during the scholarship period in Thailand.

Note: Scholarship recipients must stay at the SIIT dormitory for at least 12 months.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the EFS Type B Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Non-Thai Nationality: Applicants must not be Thai citizens.
  2. Excellent Academic Record: Preferably ranked in the top 20% of your class.
  3. Meet SIIT Admission Requirements: Fulfill the academic qualifications for SIIT’s graduate programs.
  4. Recommendation Letters: Submit two strong recommendation letters, with at least one from an academic instructor/advisor. Referees must use official/professional email addresses (no personal email addresses allowed).
  5. Good Health and Conduct: Applicants must be in good health and demonstrate good conduct.
  6. No Other Scholarships: Must not be receiving another scholarship.

Conditions to Maintain the Scholarship

To continue receiving the scholarship, recipients must:

  1. Maintain Academic Performance: Achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25.
  2. Thesis/Dissertation Progress: Make satisfactory progress on your Master’s thesis or Doctoral dissertation and report progress every semester.
  3. Assist SIIT: Contribute 30 hours per semester to institute activities, including:
    • Exam proctoring (24 hours).
    • Laboratory supervision or tutoring (6 hours).
  4. Compliance with Adjustments: Scholarship requirements may be adjusted, with details provided during the scholarship agreement signing.

  • October 31 – November 8, 2025: Confirm acceptance of admission and scholarship via email and Google Form.
  • November 2025: Receive guidelines for new international SIIT students and scholarship agreement signing details via email.
  • December 17 – 19, 2025: Course enrollment for Semester 2/2025 at SIIT Registration Portal.
  • December 25 – 26, 2025: SIIT orientation for new international students at SIIT, Thammasat University, Thailand.
  • January 5, 2026: First day of classes for Semester 2/2025.
