Eligibility Criteria
- PhD degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical and direct experience in experimental research in metals processing or metallurgical engineering.
- Journal and conference publications on prior research.
- Ability to develop original concepts and creative solutions building upon existing ideas.
- Capability to set up a methodology, planning, milestones, and workplan to achieve goals.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering or a cognate discipline.
- 2-3 years of research experience in process metallurgy, materials processing, and/or advanced manufacturing.
- Experience in process simulation using computational methods.
- Experience in metal additive manufacturing.
- Experience in process automation.
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaborative research, including collaborations with industry and device design and manufacture.
- Practical laboratory skills, including adherence to relevant health and safety protocols.
