Eligibility Criteria

PhD degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering.
Practical and direct experience in experimental research in metals processing or metallurgical engineering.
Journal and conference publications on prior research.
Ability to develop original concepts and creative solutions building upon existing ideas.
Capability to set up a methodology, planning, milestones, and workplan to achieve goals.

Desirable qualifications include:

Undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering or a cognate discipline.
2-3 years of research experience in process metallurgy, materials processing, and/or advanced manufacturing.
Experience in process simulation using computational methods.
Experience in metal additive manufacturing.
Experience in process automation.
Experience in interdisciplinary collaborative research, including collaborations with industry and device design and manufacture.
Practical laboratory skills, including adherence to relevant health and safety protocols.
