Postdoctoral Researcher in Education, Sociology & Psychology – University of Luxembourg

This is a fully funded, salaried research role (gross annual salary of €85,176 full-time) in the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE), within the Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET). The position focuses on contributing to Luxembourg’s National Educational Report (“Bildungsbericht”), data analysis, policy-relevant research, public outreach, and advancing educational science projects in a multilingual, interdisciplinary environment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold a PhD in educational sciences, social sciences, psychology, or an equivalent field.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
  • Have experience in applied social science statistics (considered a strong asset).
  • Show ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative teams.
  • Be comfortable engaging with public stakeholders in education (e.g., ministries, administrations).
  • Excel at communicating research findings to non-academic audiences.
  • Be proficient in at least two of the university’s languages: French, English, German (multilingual environment).
  • Possess research experience, intercultural awareness, inter-institutional collaboration skills, and strong teamwork spirit.
