This programme enables researchers from ICGEB Member States to work in prestigious Chinese laboratories for durations of 3, 6, or 12 months, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

It is fully funded, offering a monthly stipend of 20,000 RMB (approximately 2,800 USD before tax) to cover international travel, housing, living expenses, and insurance. Open to eligible nationals from developing countries, emerging economies, and Belt and Road Initiative nations, with a focus on Asia and Africa. Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply

  1. Identify and contact a Principal Investigator (PI) at one of the partnering Chinese institutes to discuss and develop your research project proposal.
  2. Obtain a work consent letter from the institute, verifying lab space, administrative support, and hosting capacity.
  3. Prepare your application package, including the proposal and consent letter.
  4. Submit the complete application online via the ICGEB online portal by the deadline.
