Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Education, Migration, and Diversity (EDU_MIG) for the 2026 intake (program start in October 2026). This is a prestigious, fully funded 2-year Master’s program co-funded by the European Union, focusing on interdisciplinary studies in education, migration, diversity, multilingualism, and related fields.

The program is open to international applicants from all nationalities, with a limit of maximum two candidates per country and priority for regions like Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East for scholarships. There is no application fee. The program runs across multiple countries (Germany, Sweden, Italy, Türkiye, Benin), with mobility in different terms for a truly international experience. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree (3-4 years) or equivalent in related fields: education, social sciences, cultural studies, history, applied linguistics, migration studies, or teacher education
  • Minimum final grade equivalent to C+ (or better)
  • Degree completed within the last 5 years (if older, explain in motivation letter)
  • English proficiency at C1 level (CEFR): IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or equivalent.
  • Multilingual abilities are an advantage
  • Relevant professional experience (jobs, internships, volunteering) in education, migration, or diversity is preferred
  • If you already hold a Master’s degree, justify why you need another in your motivation letter
  • Not eligible if you previously received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship
