DAAD MIDE Scholarships for MA 2027 in Germany (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open (or will open soon in July 2026) for the Master’s Programme in International and Development Economics (MIDE) at HTW Berlin, Germany, with the opportunity to secure a fully funded DAAD scholarship under the EPOS scheme for the April 2027 intake. This 18-month (3-semester) full-time Master’s program, taught entirely in English, focuses on international trade, development economics, policy analysis, and real-world challenges in developing countries.

The program is ideal for those interested in careers in development cooperation, international organizations, government, NGOs, or multinational companies. The DAAD scholarship is fully funded for eligible candidates from developing countries with at least two years of professional experience, covering major costs like living expenses, travel, health insurance, and waiving the program service fee. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the MIDE program (and DAAD scholarship where applicable):

  • A first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) with at least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum of 15 ECTS credits in Economics (or at least three Economics-related modules if not using ECTS).
  • Proof of English proficiency (waived if previous degree was taught in English; otherwise, tests like TOEFL/IELTS required).
  • For DAAD scholarship only: From a developing/newly industrialized country + at least two years of professional experience after graduation.
