The Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships at Curtin University provide funding for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students, supporting both domestic and international applicants.

Eligibility Criteria
- Be a domestic or international student.
- Have an Invitation to Apply from a registered Curtin supervisor.
- Meet Curtin’s academic and English language requirements.
- Align your research with Curtin’s focus areas listed above.
For Current Curtin HDR Students:
- Must not currently receive an HDR base stipend.
- Must have confirmed support from your principal supervisor.
- Must maintain Good Standing academic status.
- Must not have exceeded 18 months of full-time equivalent enrolment by 1 July.

Application Process and Timeline
Follow these steps to apply for an RTP Scholarship:
- Review areas of research (View full range of HDR courses)
- Choose a research degree
- Find a research supervisor (Ensure you have a proposed research topic in mind, and a current CV ready; prior to contacting a potential research supervisor via the Expression of Interest form. If you are unsure or are yet to find an appropriate supervisor, we recommend you contact the proposed enrolling school for advice.
- Write a research proposal
