Programme Structure
ARISE2 offers a robust framework with three core training areas:
1. Research Training and Practical Experience
- Research Projects: Design and execute a project to develop or improve technologies, applying them to real-world scientific questions.
- Service Provision: Optional participation in service delivery (up to 10 days/year) to understand RI operations.
- Secondments and Visits:
- Long secondment (2–6 months, or up to 11 months for collaborative projects) at a partner organization.
- Short visits (1–2 weeks) for job shadowing and interdisciplinary learning at EMBL facilities.
- User shadowing (5 days) to observe user interactions with RI services.
- Supervision: Guidance from an EMBL group leader, external co-supervisor, and career mentor.

2. Research Infrastructure (RI) Professional Competencies
- Curriculum: Mandatory ARISE2 seminars and a one-week school covering science policy, data science, service provision, communication, RI management, and technology transfer.

3. Career Development and Individualized Training
