ADB-Japan Scholarship Program 2026

The Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) was established in 1988 to support human resource development in Asia and the Pacific. It provides qualified citizens from ADB’s developing member countries (DMCs) the chance to pursue postgraduate studies in key fields at top institutions. Scholars are expected to return home after their studies to contribute to their country’s socioeconomic growth.

Applications are now open for the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program 2026, a fully funded scholarship for citizens of ADB’s developing member countries to pursue master’s degrees in economics, business and management, science and technology, development studies, and law and public policy at 25 designated institutions in Asia and the Pacific. It is fully funded, covering tuition, subsistence, and more. Eligible applicants are nationals of ADB borrowing countries, aged 35 or under, with a bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years of professional experience, and English proficiency.
