Abu Dhabi University Scholarships For BS, MS 2026

Applications are now open for Abu Dhabi University (ADU) Scholarships in the United Arab Emirates. These scholarships support outstanding students pursuing Bachelor’s and Master’s programs across a wide range of fields. Coverage ranges from 15% to 50% tuition waivers (partial) to 100% fully funded options (including additional fees for select awards).

They are open to UAE residents, GCC nationals, and international students (with some scholarships having specific nationality requirements). There is no application fee for the scholarships. Applications are processed on a rolling basis after you receive formal admission and your student ID — no fixed deadline applies for most awards. Important notes for all scholarships:

  • You don’t need to re-apply if you meet the maintenance criteria.
  • The application process starts after admission to ADU (once you receive your unique student ID).
  • Log in to your university account → Go to the Financial Aid and Scholarships section.
  • Eligible scholarships appear automatically based on your records.
  • Apply online by filling details, uploading documents, and submitting.

Now, let’s look at the main scholarship options:

1. Merit-Based Graduate Scholarship

For: Master’s (postgraduate) students Value: 25% waiver on tuition fees

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate CGPA of at least 3.5 (or equivalent)

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in your master’s program

Other Conditions:

  • If you qualify for multiple postgraduate waivers, choose one (no switching allowed).
  • If CGPA drops below 3.5 in any semester, the waiver is lost for the next semester but reinstates if you meet it again.
  • Forfeited if guilty of student code of conduct or academic integrity violation.
  • Covers winter and summer terms.
  • Does not cover repeated courses (including F, WA, W grades).

2. Family Tuition Waiver

For: Undergraduate students from the same family (siblings, spouses, parents/children) enrolled simultaneously at ADU

Value: Percentage waiver on tuition fees based on number of family members enrolled:

  • 2 family members: 15% waiver per student
  • 3 family members: 20% waiver per student
  • 4 or more family members: 25% waiver per student

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Each family member must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5

3. Academic Scholarship

For: Continuing undergraduate students at ADU

Value: 20% waiver on tuition fees

Eligibility:

  • Achieve a minimum CGPA of 3.60 for two consecutive semesters

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.60
  • Register for and pass a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (full-time status; exception for winter/summer terms)
  • Scholarship applies only while enrolled full-time

Other Conditions:

  • Does not cover repeated courses (including F, W, WA grades)

4. Abu Dhabi University Scholarship (University Scholarship)

For: UAE residents and GCC nationals (GCC candidates need officially attested documents) – mainly for new high school graduates

Value: 15% to 50% waiver on tuition fees (varies by campus and high school average)

Eligibility:

  • New secondary school graduates joining ADU within two years of graduation
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements set by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.60
  • Register for and pass a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (full-time status; limited exceptions in first semester/term for English requirements)

Other Conditions:

  • Does not cover repeated courses (including F, WA, W grades)

5. Athletic Scholarship

For: Continuing students actively involved in ADU sports teams (as player, captain, or coach)

Value: 25% waiver on tuition fees per academic year

Eligibility:

  • Active participation in ADU sports
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.75
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements
  • Approved recommendation letter from ADU Student Affairs Department

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.75
  • Passed a minimum of 12 credit hours in the previous semester (except winter/summer)
  • Register for a minimum of 12 credit hours in the current semester (except winter/summer)

Other Conditions:

  • Applies while enrolled full-time
  • Does not cover repeated courses (including F, WA, W grades)

6. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Scholarship

For: Top-performing new students (undergraduate level)

Value: Fully funded – 100% waiver on tuition, application fee, registration fee, student services fee, and health service fee

Eligibility:

  • Top 20 public secondary school graduates across the UAE
  • Newly admitted and joining ADU in the fall semester of their high school graduation year
  • Meet EmSAT (or equivalent) requirements: Minimum Math 1,200, English 1,600, Arabic 900 for all colleges
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements set by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  • Formal approval from the Office of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Maintenance Requirements:

  • Enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours)
