Eligibility Criteria

  • Current bachelor’s or master’s students, or those who graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in May 2025 or later.
  • Fourth-year undergraduates are considered at master’s level and eligible for corresponding projects.
  • PhD students may apply for select projects (check descriptions); alternative funding for visiting PhDs available via direct contact with research groups.
  • Open to all nationalities, including Aalto’s international/exchange students and those in Finland—though some benefits like travel bonuses may not apply to locals.
  • Strong academic background and relevant skills matching project requirements; enthusiasm for research is key.
  • Note: Due to EU sanctions, applicants affiliated with Russian or Belarusian institutions cannot be hired (not based on citizenship).
