What is the KAPSARC Graduate Development Program?

The KAPSARC GDP is a 12-month initiative designed to help recent graduates gain practical experience in energy economics, sustainability, policy, and business operations. Starting in September 2025, participants will work at KAPSARC’s state-of-the-art research facility in Riyadh. The program offers two tracks tailored to different career paths:

  • Consulting Track: Join a dynamic team working on timely energy sector projects, focusing on data analysis, policy research, and communication. Perfect for those interested in shaping energy policies and solutions.
  • Enabling Track: Develop specialized technical skills in business-enabling functions, preparing you for operational and strategic roles in various industries.

Program Tracks and Eligible Majors

Each track is designed for specific academic backgrounds. Below are the majors eligible for each track:

Consulting Track Majors

By joining the Consulting Track, you’ll work on energy-related projects, data analysis, and communication. Eligible majors include:

  • Public Policy

Enabling Track Majors

The Enabling Track focuses on building technical skills in business functions. Eligible majors include:

Educational Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the eligible majors listed above.
  • Graduated in 2024 or expected to graduate in 2025.
  • Degrees from outside Saudi Arabia require a Certificate of Equivalency from the Saudi Ministry of Education.

GPA Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of:
    • 4.0 out of 5.0, 3.2 out of 4.0, or 60% out of 100%.

English Proficiency

  • Provide proof of English proficiency with:
    • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 (Academic).
    • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 79.

Other Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of work experience.
  • Available for a full-time, 12-month commitment in Saudi Arabia.
  • Valid passport for travel.
