This prestigious program invites graduate students and advanced undergraduate students (3rd/4th year) to participate in cutting-edge research projects across various disciplines at one of China’s leading research institutions.
USTC offers multiple funding levels to suit different applicants. Level A is fully funded, covering tuition, accommodation, insurance, and a monthly stipend. Level B is partially funded, covering tuition waiver, insurance, and accommodation. Level C provides minimal funding with tuition waiver only. Additional Expenses (for non-scholarship holders)

Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a non-Chinese passport and citizenship
- Be between 18 and 40 years old
- Be in good physical and mental health
- Currently be enrolled as a full-time student in one of the following:
- Undergraduate program (Year 3 or Year 4)
- Master’s degree program
- Doctoral (PhD) degree program
- Have no criminal record
- Demonstrate good command of English language skills

Accommodation:
For USTC Fellowship Level A and Level B Students:
- On-campus accommodation is offered on a first-come, first-served basis
- If on-campus accommodation is full, you must find off-campus accommodation independently
For USTC Fellowship Level C and Self-Funded Students:
- You must find and arrange off-campus accommodation independently
For All Off-Campus Students:
- Register with your local police station within the required timeframe
- Submit your full residential address and telephone number at the time of registration

After Admission:
Visa Requirements
- Admitted students must submit the Visa Application Form (JW201 or JW202) along with the Admission Notice to a Chinese Embassy or Consulate
- Apply for a student visa at the appropriate Chinese diplomatic mission
- You must enter China with a valid student visa
- Ensure your student visa remains valid for your entire stay
Insurance
- International students must purchase insurance online in accordance with relevant national regulations and university requirements
