Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship 2027 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Program in Public Policy, known as Mundus MAPP, for the 2027 to 2029 intake. This is a fully funded scholarship for students who want to study public policy, governance, and international affairs across two leading European universities. The deadline for applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid is December 1, 2026.

The program is open to students of all nationalities, from both EU and non EU countries, and there is no separate application fee. Successful applicants complete a two year master’s degree with study periods in two different countries, along with internships and hands on policy experience. What This Scholarship Offers:

  • A full tuition fee waiver for the entire two year program
  • A monthly stipend of 1,400 Euros, worth up to 33,600 Euros in total over 24 months
  • Health insurance for the whole study period, plus two weeks before it starts and two months after it ends
  • The chance to study at two top European universities in two different countries
  • Real work experience through internships at international organizations, government agencies, and NGOs
  • Access to policy labs, a field trip, and a wide international alumni network
  • A partially funded option for those not selected for the full scholarship: the Institutional Scholarship covers 50 percent of tuition fees, though it does not include a monthly stipend

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognized university
  • An academic record of at least Upper Second (2:1) or a GPA of 3.17 out of 4.0, or an equivalent
  • A background in social sciences or a related field (bachelor’s degrees in natural sciences or engineering are not eligible)
  • Willingness to study in two countries during the program, both different from your current country of residence
  • Not having already received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Scholarship before
  • Work experience is not required, though relevant experience can strengthen an application

English Language Requirements:

  • Proof of English proficiency is required, usually through an accepted test score
  • A waiver may be available if you completed a full Bachelor’s or Master’s degree taught only in English
  • Citizens of some English speaking countries may not need to submit a language test at all, as long as their degree was taught only in English

  • Bachelor’s degree transcript and diploma, with an official English translation if the original is not in English
  • Full CV or resume, including a list of publications if you have any
  • A statement of purpose of no more than 500 words, explaining your motivation, research interests, and career plans
  • Two letters of recommendation, submitted directly by your referees through the online application portal
  • Proof of English language proficiency, unless you qualify for a waiver
