Who Can Apply:
- Be a citizen of an ADB member country and a Japanese ODA eligible country
- Not hold dual citizenship with any developed nation
- Currently live and work in your home country
- Have completed at least two years of full-time employment after your bachelor’s degree
- Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
- Be 35 years old or younger when applying
- Not currently pursuing another graduate degree
- Preferably hold your bachelor’s degree from your home country
- Not applying for a second Master’s degree
- Family annual income cannot exceed US$50,000 and personal income cannot exceed US$25,000
Important Documents You Need:
- Valid passport or national identification
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or diploma
- Academic transcripts from your university
- Employment certificate(s) showing dates and salary
- Income tax return (as an alternative to employment certificates)
- Statement of purpose or motivation letter
- Proof of English language proficiency
How to Apply:
- Submit your application through the APU online application system for graduate programs
- Request the ADB Scholarship within your APU application
- Upload an employment certificate from your current employer showing employment dates and salary
- If employed for less than two years, also provide a certificate from your previous employer
- Both certificates must clearly list employment start/end dates and monthly or annual income
- Alternatively, submit your latest income tax return as proof of earnings
- APU will forward qualified applicants to the ADB Scholarship Committee for final selection
