24 Fully Funded PhD Positions Across Europe

Applications are now open for the DESTINY2 MSCA COFUND doctoral programme, a prestigious Horizon Europe-funded initiative offering 24 fully funded PhD positions. This highly interdisciplinary programme focuses on advanced battery materials, nanomaterials, and processes to support the future of electro-mobility, large-scale energy storage, and the EU’s decarbonisation goals.

The positions are fully funded with a gross monthly salary of €2,300 for 36 months, and selected candidates will start their doctoral research on 1 October 2026. The programme is open to candidates of all nationalities who meet the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions mobility rule. There is no application fee. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hold (or be about to obtain) a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Meet the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions mobility rules.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance and research interest
  • Good command of English (No IELTS needed)
