Applications are now open for the KUAS Scholarships (Kyoto University of Advanced Science) for the September 2026 enrollment (Fall intake). These scholarships support outstanding international students pursuing fully English-taught degree programs in fields such as Engineering, Bioenvironmental Sciences, Global Business and Economics (undergraduate), and Engineering (graduate Master’s and Doctoral levels).

The scholarships include the Super KUAS-E Scholarship (fully funded with stipend) and the KUAS-E Scholarship (partial to full tuition reductions), awarded based on comprehensive evaluation during the university admission process. Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Programs

• Completion of 12 years of standard school education (or equivalent, such as International Baccalaureate Diploma, GCE A-levels, or other recognized qualifications).
• Comprehensive high-school level understanding of key subjects relevant to the chosen faculty (e.g., math, sciences for Engineering/Bioenvironmental; economics/business basics where applicable—check faculty-specific needs).
• Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo; minimum scores on Required Documents page) unless exempt:
  • Holders of degrees from universities in U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland, UK, Canada (excluding Quebec).
  • English-taught program graduates from other countries (request waiver in TAO + upload teacher evaluation letter).
