Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Jesus College Arts Research Fellowship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: Hold an undergraduate degree from a university or equivalent institution.
- Research Stage: Be either:
- A graduate student in the later stages of research leading to a PhD, or
- A post-doctoral researcher who has recently been awarded a PhD (or equivalent degree).
- Research Experience: Have completed less than five years of full-time research by 1 October 2025.
- Career Stage: The fellowship targets researchers early in their careers. Candidates with more than five years of full-time research are unlikely to be considered unless there are strong mitigating circumstances, such as:
- Part-time research.
- Personal circumstances affecting research progress (to be explained in the application).

Fellowship Benefits

- Accommodation: Subsidised accommodation valued at approximately £3,556 per year.
- Bench Fee: Approximately £12,000 per year (subject to review) to access University Department facilities.
