Who Can Apply as a Reviewer?
To be eligible, you must:
- Hold the rank of Associate Professor or higher (or equivalent seniority).

- Have expertise in one of DARA’s four scientific domains (listed above).
- Commit to DARA’s Code of Conduct, including ethical standards and conflict-of-interest policies.
What Does a Reviewer Do?
As a DARA reviewer, your responsibilities include:
- Evaluating Applications: Assess proposals based on four criteria:
- Project Quality
- Candidate Excellence
- Feasibility
- Potential Impact
- Scoring and Feedback: Assign a numerical score (1–5) and provide concise written comments for each application.
- Reviewing Materials: Examine application components, including:
- A brief research summary
- A 1,500-word project proposal
- A motivation letter
- Applicant’s CV and transcripts
- A supervisor’s support letter
- Optional materials (e.g., mentor CV, research environment description)
- Maintaining Standards: Uphold DARA’s principles of academic rigor, fairness, and impartiality.
Compensation
Reviewers will receive €70 per evaluation, making this a rewarding opportunity to contribute to global research.

- September 12, 2025: Review assignments distributed.
- October 15, 2025: Deadline to submit evaluations via DARA’s online platform.
